The Wine Advocate:

The late-ripening Mazuelo/Cariñena produced a more austere 2017 Finca Mazuelo despite being a little riper than past vintages. It has varietal character with berries intermixed with earthy and somewhat rustic notes reminiscent of tree bark and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied with ripe flavors without excess and dusty tannins. It would welcome food. 4,500 bottles were filled in December 2019.
