Pela Roques Blanco 2023
Descrizione

The more Burgundian white 2023 Pela Roques Merseguera-Xarello is the second vintage of this wine from vines in their Finca Calvestra property; the Merseguera was regrafted onto dry-farmed Bobal planted in the 1970s, and the Xarello was planted in the 2000s on marl soils. The varieties fermented together with skins for 15 days, with the end of the fermentation in 500-liter acacia barrels, then the wine matured in a small stainless steel tank with fine lees for one year. It has a bright and pale yellow color and a nose of flowers and spice, with elegance and nuance. This has lower alcohol than the previous vintage, 12.5%, and that's one of the things they were looking for. It keeps a pH of 3.29 and 5.34 grams of acidity and is light and tender, a little fragile, precise, pure and very elegant. 1,294 bottles were filled in December 2024.
