Tim Atkin:

The legendary La Faraona vineyard has delivered yet another exquisite wine. Its steep slope of slate soils at nearly 900m above Corullón has produced another chiselled wine with steely precision. Aromas of violets, lavender and damson plum unfurl into layers of rhubarb, thyme and wild mountain herbs. It is a profound wine with serious depth but it somehow remains vibrant, gloriously textured with tannins that hover between chalky and sapid. It is a wine that truly displays the distinctive character – the essence, if you like, of La Faraona and Corullón. 2025-2034.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2024 La Faraona has lower alcohol and pH than the 2023, 13% and 3.17, respectively. It had a short maceration time of 26 days followed by malolactic in French oak barrels. This wine is super expressive, open, floral, aromatic and super elegant. This could very well be one of the finest vintages for La Faraona, but it's quite different from the more herbal/Cabernet Franc style from years ago. This is really impressive; it's the one 2024 that is already approachable and gentle. Today, the two wines from 2024 that shine are La Faraona and Las Lamas, curiously enough, they were the two picked after (or during) the rain... It started raining around the 20th of September, and it was harvested the 5th of October.
