The Wine Advocate:

The 2023 Luis XIV Ánforas has notes of honey and pollen, something I often find in young Mediterranean reds. It was produced with a blend of 75% Monastrell, 15% Giró, 5% Arcos and 5% Bonicaire with low extracting and aging in tinaja (ánfora). It's pale, young and fruit-driven, with has a juicy palate, good ripeness and 13.8% alcohol but keeps the freshness and balance. It has a medium-bodied palate and fine tannins and is approachable and easy to drink, with some earthy rusticity that calls for food. 11,500 numbered bottles were filled in April 2024. Tim Atkin:

This is an intriguing blend of indigenous varieties: 60% Monastrell, 30% Arcos and 10% Bonicaire which were planted in the 1960s on sandy soils. The result is a fine wine with pretty red cherries and floral notes on the nose while the palate offers an inherent sappy character, forest floor and a refreshing tannic grip. Elegant and very drinkable! 2024 - 2026
