Maison Champy Corton Rognet Grand Cru 2018

Corton used to be sold at the same price as Richebourg in the 1890s, and when it's as good as this, you can understand why. Made with grapes from an east-facing, mid-slope site that was replanted in the 1990s, it's the best red in the current Champy line up: floral, intense and complex, with subtle, stony reduction, crafted 30% new wood and succulent red fruits.
