Step back as the dry Mosel express arrives! The deep, spicy nose with great apricot fruit and just a whiff of smoke barely prepares you for the giant concentration on the very focused and tightly wound palate. Needs a couple more years in the bottle to reach its best harmony for drinking, but the giant wet stone finish speaks volumes for the potential of this masterpiece! Drinkable now, but best from 2025.

The 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese ** (White Capsule) is clear, highly refined and beautifully intense on the ethereal nose that reveals a kind of slate perfume intermingled with fully ripe and well-concentrated fruit, including lemon aromas. On the palate, this is a silky, crystalline yet also intense and concentrated, highly elegant ZSU that reveals enormous salinity toward the stimulating fresh and lemon-bitter finish. Just 11% stated alcohol but what complexity here! Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023.
