Named after Doroteo Romero, the founder of the bodega, this pure Tinto Fino comes from a 102-year-old parcel close to the bodega in Pedrosa de Duero. The 25% new wood is slightly less marked than on some of the Pago de los Capellanes reds, which is no bad thing. Aromas of dark chocolate and mountain herbs segue into a palate of fine-grained tannins and scented plum and blueberry fruit. 2027-35.
