Questo vino rosso forte e vivace è proprio come il terroir del vigneto La Barraca. Abbiamo cercato di mettere il terroir nel calice, facendo sì che il luogo fosse più importante del viticoltore. Adesso, dopo un bel po' di tempo in bottiglia, è il momento perfetto per gustarlo.

Descrizione
Vigneto vicino al fiume Bitlles. Esposizione a nord. Piede 41-B e distanza tra i filari di 2,40 x 1,20. Non si usano diserbanti, insetticidi o prodotti sintetici. Si fa un tipo di coltivazione che non ara il terreno e si lavora con coperture spontanee per proteggerlo.

Vinificazione
Dopo una macerazione separata di circa un mese, il mosto fa la fermentazione alcolica in vasche di cemento rivestite di resina. Il Cabernet Sauvignon fa la fermentazione malolattica in barrique e il Cabernet Franc in vasche.
Invecchiamento
Affinamento di 13 mesi in barrique nuove di rovere francese.
Imbottigliamento
Leggera filtrazione prima dell'imbottigliato nel maggio 2017.

We tasted again the red 2015 Aspriu, which again was completely different from all the other red bottlings, creamy, spicy and oaky, much darker and herbal, as it has a similar proportion of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (53/47) that brought me back to the 1990s and the turn of this century, when this profile and grapes were so in vogue. It represents their past like Sumoll represents their present and future. It comes in at 14.8% alcohol and matured in new French oak barrels for 13 months. It's like time travelling into the Penedès history... This is very good in its style. 2,584 bottles and 103 magnums. It was bottled in May 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez.
