Descrizione

Aromatically, it’s herbal and lifted, with notes of red berries, wildflowers and fresh earth. On the palate, it’s incisive yet soft, with fine-grained tannins and a light, drinkable charm. Bright, vibrant and accessible. Sourced from 36 small parcels of old vines, this blend of trincadeira, mencía, bastardo and doña branca is a true expression of place. Drink now. - Jacobo Garcia-Andrade Llamas, Senior Editor.
The 2022 Camino de los Arrieros is a pale, slightly rustic and earthy, characterful and complex blend of local varieties—35% Trincadeira, 15% Mencia, 15% Bastardo, 5% Doña Blanca and the rest a mix of obscure varieties like Tinta Jeromo, Mandon, Gajo Arroba, Tintorera, Juan Garcia and Rufete. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol, which is low for the very warm and dry year, but still comes through as riper than previous years, with slightly darker fruit and very good freshness, keeping it balanced. The tannins are fine-grained, textured and slightly earthy. He's aging the wine for one year in oak and another year in concrete. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024. - Luis Gutiérrez.
