Descrizione

Cantocuerdas è un vino monovarietale di Albillo, un'uva tipica di questa zona. È un vitigno bianco che cresce sulle pendici della Sierra de Gredos. È super gustoso quando è maturo al punto giusto, e questo dà ai vini un tocco glicerico e un po'di struttura. La produzione è limitata.

Descrizione
Tre appezzamenti di Albillo, tra i 715 e i 740 metri sul livello del mare e circondati da boschi mediterranei.
Età
Età media di 90 anni.
Suolo
Terreno poco profondo di granito scuro compatto, pieno di quarzo.
Vinificazione
Macerazione pre-fermentativa per 36 ore in camion frigorifero. Macerazione con le bucce per 36 ore. Fermentazione a bassa temperatura. Le fecce di fermentazione restano durante tutto il processo di affinamento, senza "batonnage". Uno dei tre appezzamenti fermenta come un rosso, con bucce e racimi per otto settimane.
Invecchiamento
Affinamento in botti da 500 litri.

The 2022 Cantocuerdas Albillo de Bernabeleva was produced with Albillo Real from three plots of old vines in different parts of the estate, all over 80 years of age and above 750 meters in altitude. This wine is released later than the other whites after some time in bottle, as they believe the variety has potential to age and show better with a few years, especially in warm and dry years like 2022. Two plots fermented partly in used barrels and the other one with full clusters and a maceration of eight weeks, and the wine matured in three 500-liter barrels with lees and no bâtonnage. It has notes of esparto grass and is eminently Mediterranean, with some notes of white flowers and fruit. It has contained ripeness and alcohol, 12.5%, a pH of 3.41 and 4.74 grams of acidity, with a light and tender palate and a dry and chalky finish. 1,800 bottles produced.
