Jacky e Françoise Lorenzetti hanno acquistato nel 2009 questo Grand Cru Classé del 1855 a Pauillac. Ora, insieme alla figlia Manon, lavorano in famiglia. Ciò che li spinge è l’amore per un lavoro di qualità e il rispetto per la terra, e questo si sente in questo vino. Un’annata che si distingue per le sue spiccate sfumature del terroir, dove ognuno dei suoi 19 tipi di terreno si esprime in tutta la sua tipicità.

James Suckling:

A fresh, aromatic nose, showing hibiscus, red berries, crunchy red cherries and a touch of spices. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a juicy, elegant finish. 52% cabernet sauvignon, 32% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 14% petit verdot. Drink or hold.

Decanter:

Cool blue aromatics on the nose. Quite tart and sour, high acidity but straight with lovely licks of wet stone. Crunchy cranberry, on the just-ripe red fruit spectrum, tannins are lovely and this has really welcome juiciness, so charming with a mineral powderiness that lingers on the finish. A good second wine here, depth, finesse and tension with mint and herbal Cabernet spice on the finish. 3.74pH. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. Ageing 30% new oak. 12% press wine.
