James Suckling:

The bouquet of this is like a huge bunch of flowers, although many of the aromas go in the balsamic, leathery and spicy directions. With a little aeration smoke and cigar tobacco notes develop. Deep blackberry and black-cherry fruit on the expansive palate, the substantial core of fine tannins holding this extravagance together beautifully. Long, silky and spicy finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

The Wine Advocate:

From a lieu-dit that sits quite high on the slope, the 2019 Cote Rotie Neve shows a bit more oak than the Mordoree bottling, featuring vanilla and cedar layered atop raspberries and black cherries. Full-bodied, it's rich and concentrated, yet silky in texture, with a long, mouthwatering finish.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The 2019 Côte Rotie Nève isn't far off the 2018 in style and might even be a bigger, richer wine. Black raspberries, candied violets, flowers, and a kiss of classy oak all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and elegant. This floral, mineral-laced, structured Côte Rôtie is going to need 2-4 years of bottle age and will drink brilliantly for 20 years or more.

Decanter:

A full-bodied, concentrated, powerful vintage. This is very tannic, but also fresh, with good acidity. Juniper and menthol, has some young-vine vigour bringing freshness. Their plantings in this site started in 2004, and have continued every year until 2017.
